The Canadian Maple Leaf Original Issue is the first ever pre 24K
gold bullion coin that was issued by the Royal Canadian Mint. 22K South African Krugerrand was the only extensively available gold bullion coin at that time.

The front side features a remarkable portrait of Queen Elizabeth II.
Reverse:
The rear side features the national symbol of Canada - the Maple Leaf, encircled among the words 'CANADA', 'FINE GOLD', coin's weight and purity.
