The Canadian national flag, featuring the Maple leaf, was also the first flag adopted by both Parliament houses and officially proclaimed by the Canadian monarch as the country’s official flag.
The bar’s obverse bears the maple leaf flag. The red strips on either end depict the country’s energy and life, while the central silver represents Canada’s snowy winters. Even though the beliefs related to colors may change, the meaning of the maple leaf remains the same. The 11-pointed red maple leaf represents Canada’s 10 provinces and one federal territory.
