History
'Umberto the Good'
Dating from the 19th century Kingdom of Italy, Umbertos are superbly minted and feature Umberto I, King of Italy, who also held the title of Duke of Savoy. Umberto ruled from 1878 until his assassination by an anarchist in 1900. A hero among conservatives and wealthy landowners, he was nicknamed 'Umberto the Good' after his death and buried in the Pantheon in Rome, the last of the Savoys to be honored so.
